Roderick Jones is a security consultant based in the USA. Prior to this he served for eight years as a detective with Scotland Yard’s Special Branch (recently renamed the Counter-Terrorism Command). He advises a wide variety of organizations on their strategic security development.
Since 2005, he has been conducting independent research into the potential misuse of virtual communities by terrorists and the “virtualization of terrorism”. He has published some of these thoughts on the Counterterrorism Blog where he is a contributing expert.
Roderick earned his Master’s degree at Cambridge University and conducted PhD research at both London University and UC Berkeley into intelligence and security policy. He can be contacted at:
